Have A Blast to the Past....on all the B-days you missed....
HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JADED.... Have a FUN day!
i have been over at another board for quite some time now, but had heard so much about this place i figured i had better see what all the "hub bub" is about!
lol.
i just wanted to say hi before i started posting.
Hi GG:
A totally cooooooooool WELCOME, but be careful...there's a lot of ex-JW's hanging around here.
right now, 4 hours this very minute, removing tumors, still no news - and i am one nervous father ...........
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Me too O.H., me too.
i'm wondering about god lately.
is he really in touch with the earth at all?
how much trouble would it be for him to bring a rain in colorado to stop the fires and save the houses of those people?
I ALWAYS HATED the perpetual feeling of never being good enough.
ok...you hate it, that's reasonable....but what does that have to do with God...sounds more like false religion.
wish i could claim this but i can't.

there are times when you just have to switch sides.
Well, with all that YANK BASHING, I guess all we can say is: "whatever".
ok...simon with his guess the song lyrics inspired me to do one for movies..... you can post your fave movie quote and see if anyone can guess it.
no home movies or indie please (unless its really well-known).
plus if you want you can put what genre it is...... i have one to start us out:.

Why are you being so obtuse?"Pride and Predjudice with Greer Garson
we all know the bible's view on capital punishment.
in fact, in the 1969 edition of aid to bible understanding, the author notes the following: .
"the value of life is considered so sacred by god that the blood of a murdered person is viewed by him as defiling the earth and such defilement can be cleansed only by shedding the blood of the murdered.
It seems like a very simple concept to me. There are laws made, that if broken, have consequences.
If you brutally take someone's life from them and their family and friends, the law says you have to be prepared to forfeit your own. The decision isn't made by the state, the decision is made by that inidividual...who gambled with their own life by cold bloodedly deciding to take another's....the state is only carrying out that decision.
I like LIZARD's quote from General Schwartzkopt: "I believe that forgiving them is God's function. Our job is simply to arrange the meeting."
i'm an english man in my early 40s, was brought up as a jw, got baptized when i was in my teens, and married in my early 20s.
i have two sons and two daughters ranging from 6 years of age to 18.. .
although my wife associates with one of the local congregations of jws, i no longer attend or participate in jw activities.
Hi NewWay. I loved your post, your picture, your outlook....WELCOME!
today's funny ...
the lost chapter of genesis.
adam was hanging around the garden of eden feeling very lonely.
That's hysterical (and clever)....thanks for sharing.
the june 1st wt has the cover article should you be afraid of death?
on the first page it sets the scene as to how death casts a shadow over us.
it then seemingly gloats over how people in the world are fixated by death.
Simplesalley:
I'm going to take a very NEUTRAL position here without putting in my own beliefs or biases, but I found very interesting (if not conforting) the stories of those who have had near-death experiences. Now for all those nay-sayers...blow off and don't be sooo negative...at least be neutral, let anyone who's interested just read the numerous stories and think for themselves. Go to a search engine, Yahoo or Google (I think they're the same now) and type in near death experiences.
For most of those who have had these experiences, you can't convience them other wise....it's only some that have NEVER experience one who will sometimes totally discount them. I try to keep an open mind.
